ENDORSED ORDER: A petition for habeas corpus challenging present physical custody generally must be filed in the district of confinement, with the petitioner's immediate custodian named as the respondent. See Rumsfeld v. Padilla, 542 U.S. 426, 434-35, 442-43 (2004). Although the petition and motion identify the Tampa ERO Office as Petitioner's location of detention, the ICE Detainee Locator appears to indicate that Petitioner is currently detained at the Jackson Parish Correctional Center in Louisiana. Accordingly, on or before September 28, 2026, Petitioner is directed to file a notice identifying his current place of confinement, including the name and physical location of the facility where he is presently detained, the date of any transfer from the Tampa ERO Office, and the governmental authority under whose custody he is presently being held.
