District Judge Leo T. Sorokin: ELECTRONIC ORDER entered. The respondents’ motion for clarification (Doc. No. 12 ) is ALLOWED to the following extent: the Court’s prior Order (Doc. No. 9 ) required the petitioner’s immediate release, and it permitted (but did not require) the scheduling of a bond hearing if the respondents wished (e.g., because they chose to pursue re-detention or imposition of conditions governing release) provided the bond hearing occurred by December 23, 2025. The respondents’ decision not to pursue a bond hearing in this case did not violate the Court’s prior Order, though it may be relevant to a determination of whether an award of attorneys’ fees is warranted. All parties are reminded that any future motions must include a certificate of conferral as required by Local Rule 7.1. Any response to the motion for fees (Doc. No. 11 ) is due on January 27, 2026, and shall address the status of the petitioner’s passport in addition to the request for fees.(FGD) (Entered: 01/15/2026)
