PAPERLESS ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE. THIS CAUSE came before the Court upon Petitioner's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus. 1 . Therein, Petitioner alleges that he is in the physical custody of Respondents at Krome North Service Processing Center in Miami, Florida. See id. at 1. Petitioner challenges the legality of his detention under the Immigration and Nationality Act, the Fourth Amendment, the Fifth Amendment's Due Process Clause, and the Administrative Procedure Act. Id. at 11-14. Petitioner asks the Court to assume jurisdiction over this matter, issue an order to show cause, issue a writ of habeas corpus clarifying that the sole statutory basis for Petitioner's detention is 8 US.C. § 1226(a), and order his immediate release or in the alternative order Respondents to provide him with an immediate bond hearing. Id. at 14. He also asks for attorney's fees and costs under the Equal Access to Justice Act and that the Court enjoin Respondents from transferring Petitioner from the District without the Court's approval. Id. at 15. A search of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Online Detainee Locator System (the "ODLS") found at https://locator/ice/gov/odls/#/search on the date of this Order indicates that Petitioner is currently located at the Imperial Regional Detention Facility in Calexico, California. However, Respondents previously admitted the limitations of the ODLS to this Court in a separate matter. See Diaz-Joba v. Krome North Service Processing Center, 1:26-cv-22429-KMM (July 16, 2026) (ECF No. 63); see also Id. at (ECF No. 68) at 5 n.2 (citing the issues with the reliability of the ODLS). Accordingly, it is hereby ORDERED that, on or before September 11, 2026, Respondents shall file a response informing the Court as to where Petitioner was located on September 4, 2026 when the Petition was filed and as to Petitioner's current location.
