Judge Allison D. Burroughs: ELECTRONIC ORDER entered. On August 21, 2026, Petitioner filed the instant petition for writ of habeas corpus, [ECF No. 1 ], which states that Petitioner “is a national of El Salvador with a pending renewal application for Deferred Action for Child Arrivals (“DACA”), [id. ¶ 1]; accord [id. ¶ 6], and that “he was detained without cause” by Respondents on August 19, 2026, [id. ¶ 13]. On that basis, he alleges that his detention violates “his constitutional rights to due process of law” and seeks immediate release. [Id. at 2]. Respondents argue that the petition is lacking key information on which Respondents, and the Court, must rely to “determine the constitutionality of Petitioner’s detention.” [ECF No. 7 at 4]. The Court agrees. The Petition is DENIED with leave to file an amended petition within 21 days, which should fully set forth the factual and legal basis for Petitioner’s challenge to his detention, including the missing information identified by Respondents, see [id. at 4–5].
