ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE by Judge Claria Horn Boom on 8/21/26: The Clerk of Court SHALL serve by certified mail, return receipt requested, one copy of the Petition, [R. 1 ], and this Order to each Respondent not subject to that certain Memorandum of Understanding dated 1/20/2026, entered into by the Court and the US Attorney's Office for the Western District of Kentucky. Respondents SHALL SHOW CAUSE why the Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus Under 28 U.S.C. § 2241, [R. 1 ], should not be granted, by no later than Wednesday, 8/26/2026. Petitioner SHALL file his reply by no later than Thursday, 8/27/2026. A Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, 9/1/2026, at the hour of 12:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time), before the Honorable Claria Horn Boom, United States District Judge. The hearing will be held via Zoom. Petitioner must notify the Court on or before Monday, 8/31/2026, if an interpreter is necessary for the hearing.
