MINUTE ORDER (Text Only Entry) signed by District Judge Kirk E. Sherriff on 8/21/2026: The Court has reviewed the filings in this case, Leal Juarez v. Chestnut, 1:26-cv-06628-KES-FJS, and in Leal Juarez v. Chestnut, 1:26-cv-06426-TLN-AC. After reviewing the filings in each case, the Court finds that this case (1:26-cv-06628-KES-FJS) involves the same petitioner, alleges identical facts, and requests identical relief as case no. 1:26-cv-06426-TLN-AC. The Court notes that the petition in this case has several exhibits that appear to be immigration documents for someone other than the petitioner, but the petitions otherwise appear to be identical. A court may dismiss one action as duplicative of another. See M.M. v. Lafayette Sch. Dist., 681 F.3d 1082, 1091 (9th Cir. 2012). Because this action is essentially identical to the earlier filed case, this case (1:26-cv-06628-KES-FJS) is DISMISSED AS DUPLICATIVE. The Clerk of Court is directed to CLOSE this case and terminate any pending motions as moot. (Deputy Clerk YV) (Entered: 08/21/2026)
