TEXT ORDER: This matter comes before the Court upon Petitioner's submission at ECF No. 4. Although Petitioner timely attempted to comply with the Court's August 6, 2026 Text Order, the Petition remains unsigned and therefore does not comply with 28 U.S.C. § 2242 and Rule 2(c)(5) of the Rules Governing Section 2254 Cases, applicable to petitions brought pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241. In light of the liberty interests implicated by this immigration habeas proceeding, the Court will afford Petitioner an additional opportunity to cure this deficiency while directing an expedited response from Respondents. Accordingly, Respondents shall file a response to the Petition within seven (7) days of the entry of this Order. Petitioner shall, within the same seven (7) day period, either (1) file a signed copy of the Petition, or (2) file a signed declaration under penalty of perjury pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1746 verifying that the allegations contained in the Petition (ECF No. 1) are true and correct. Failure to timely comply with this Order may result in dismissal of this action without prejudice and without further notice. The Clerk shall mail a copy of this Order to Petitioner by regular mail.
