First, doc. 1 the petition has several scrivener's errors, including the incorrect name of the petitioner in paragraph 1 and references to and requests to release "petitioners" despite only one petitioner being named in the case. Second, a section 2241 habeas petition may be used to challenge petitioner's immigration detention, but a request for mandamus relief compelling the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services to adjudicate a pending petition for adjustment of status must be filed in a separate action. The Court also notes that petitioner was previously directed to comply with Local Rule 1.07(c) if he re-filed his claims challenging his immigration detention, see 3:26-cv-1750-JEP-LLL, but he has failed to do so in this case.
