ENDORSED ORDER re 1 Complaint. Text of Order: The court has reviewed the petition for habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2241 (Doc. No. 1). The parties are directed to provide the court with all documentation relating to the petitioner's current immigration detention and immigration history on or before 12/16/2025, including but not limited to petitioner's approved Special Immigrant Juvenile Status I-360 petition and any charging documents pertaining to the petitioner's removal. The court intends to schedule a status conference within one week of receipt of these materials. The conference will not be a final merits hearing, but counsel should be prepared to preliminarily discuss their arguments relating to the habeas petition, including but not limited to the legal relevance of petitioner's SIJS-based eligibility for adjustment of status on his present immigration detention from both a due process and statutory perspective.Petitioner shall not be transferred to another district or outside the jurisdiction of the United States unless the government provides advance notice of the intended move. Such notice shall be filed in writing on the docket of this proceeding, and shall state the reason for the necessity of such action and why the move should not be stayed pending further court proceedings. Once that notice has been docketed, the petitioner shall not be moved out of the district of his detention for a period of at least 72 hours from that docketing. So Ordered by Judge Joseph N. Laplante. (Compliance Deadline set for 12/16/2025.) (ko)
