ENDORSED ORDER. Immigration detainee Carlos Alberto Saez Gonzalez filed two habeas petitions--one in Saez Gonzalez v. Warden, South Florida Detention Facility et al., M.D. Fla. Case No. 2:26-cv-1809-SPC-NPM and one as Doc. 1 in this case. Because this action is duplicative of the first-filed case, it is DISMISSED without prejudice. See I.A. Durbin, Inc. v. Jefferson Nat. Bank, 793 F.3d 1541, 1552 (11th Cir. 1986) (explaining why federal courts should dismiss duplicative actions). The Clerk is DIRECTED to terminate any pending motions and deadlines, enter judgment, and close this case. Case No. 2:26-cv-1809-SPC-NPM remains under advisement, and the Court will issue a ruling on Saez Gonzalez's habeas claims in due course. Signed by Judge Sheri Polster Chappell on 8/24/2026.
