TEXT ORDER granting 2 Motion for TRO This matter comes before the Court upon Petitioner Weifeng Gao's Verified Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus 28 U.S.C. § 2241 (ECF No. 1), and his Motion for a Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunctive Relief ("TRO Motion") (ECF No. 2) asserting he is unlawfully detained by immigration authorities under 28 U.S.C. § 1225(b), and that he is entitled to a bond hearing pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1226(a). Respondents shall file an expedited answer to the Petition within 7 days of the date of this Order. Pursuant to the All Writs Act, 28 U.S.C. § 1651, Respondents are enjoined from transferring or removing Petitioner from New Jersey during the pendency of this proceeding. Thus, Petitioner's TRO motion is granted in part and dismissed in part as moot because the Court has ordered an expedited answer. So Ordered by Chief Judge Renee Marie Bumb on 12/02/2025.
