TEXT ORDER: In response to the pro se petition for a writ of habeas corpus (DN 1 ), the Court directs the Respondents to show cause, no later than 7/17/26, why the writ should not be granted. See 28 U.S.C. § 2243. The Respondents should address whether, considering the allegations in the petition, the petition is controlled by Lopez-Campos v. Raycraft, 175 F.4th 713 (6th Cir. 2026). Unless the parties file notice that they seek a hearing, the Court will presume that the petition presents no material factual disputes and decide it on the papers.
