TEXT ORDER dismissing 2 Motion for TRO This matter comes before the Court upon Petitioner's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus under 28 U.S.C. 2241. Dkt. No. 1 ("Petition"). Petitioner alleges her immigration detention is unlawful because her bond hearing before an Immigration Judge did not comport with her right to due process. Petitioner filed a motion for a temporary restraining order along with her Petition. Dkt. No. 2 ("TRO Motion"). In accordance with Rule 4 of the Rules Governing 2254 Cases ("Habeas Rule 4"), applicable to § 2241 cases through Rule 1(b), scope of the Rules, this Court has screened the Petition for dismissal and determined dismissal without a full answer is not warranted. Respondents shall file an expedited answer to the Petition within 20 days. Petitioner may file a reply brief within 5 days of the filing date of the answer. The Court has enjoined Petitioner's transfer outside New Jersey and ordered an expedited answer to resolve this matter. Therefore, the TRO Motion, Dkt. No. 2, is DISMISSED as moot. Signed by Chief Judge Renee Marie Bumb on 07/10/2026. (Costigan, Roberta) (Entered: 07/10/2026)
