MINUTE ORDER (IN CHAMBERS) ORDER ISSUING STAY PUT AND SETTING BRIEFING SCHEDULE RE PETITIONER'S APPLICATION FOR TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER 2 by Judge Hernan D. Vera. In the interim, based on the Court's inherent powers to preserve the status quo, Respondents are hereby enjoined from deporting Petitioner from the United States and enjoined from removing Petitioner outside the Central District of California. Vera Granting 2 EX PARTE APPLICATION for Preliminary Injunction; Matter called and all parties are present, including Spanish Interpreter Jesus Rivera. The Court, having heard oral argument on the motion for a temporary restraining order, which the Court construed as a request for a preliminary injunction, rules as follows: The Court grants the temporary retraining order/preliminary injunction and orders that Petitioner shall be released from custody forthwith from the Adelanto ICE Detention Facility. Petitioner's release shall be under the same terms and conditions as previously imposed by Immigration Judge Mark Sameit on May 1, 2026, including a $7,500 bond and participation in the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program through DHS, which shall include an ankle monitor.
