TEXT ORDER. A panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit recently held that at least some aliens residing in the nation's interior are entitled to a bond hearing pending their removal proceedings. See Lopez-Campos v. Raycraft, 175 F.4th 713 (6th Cir. 2026). The United States therefore is ORDERED to state by June 25, 2026 its position concerning whether, based on Lopez-Campos, Petitioner is entitled to relief and, if so, the nature of that relief. If Petitioner opposes the position of the United States, Petitioner may file a response within three (3) days of the filing of the United States' brief. The Clerk of Court is DIRECTED to serve this Order on Counsel for the United States at stuart.canale@usdoj.gov. Signed by District Judge Brian C. Lea on 6/22/2026. (Lea, Brian) (Entered: 06/22/2026)
