MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Judge Jennifer A. Dorsey on 7/16/2026. Petitioner Jose Adan Sanchez Rodriguez moves to enforce this court's order prohibiting his transfer out of this district. 11 . His counsel contends that he was moved to Louisiana the day after his original petition was filed and that the government has informed counsel that Rodriguez was removed to Honduras on July 8, 2026. Rodriguez's counsel asks that I order the government to provide evidence that Rodriguez "was lawfully removed to Honduras" before considering any motion to dismiss the habeas petition. That motion is GRANTED. The government must file a supplemental notice by July 20, 2026, with certified documentation showing that Rodriguez was lawfully removed. Those documents must be properly signed, certified, and unredacted. If signed forms aren't available to the government, it must provide an affidavit from the appropriate DHS official with personal knowledge of his removal certifying that Rodriguez was lawfully removed.Rodriguez also moves for an extension of time to file his amended petition. 12 With good cause appearing, that motion is also GRANTED. Rodriguez must file his amended petition or a motion to dismiss by July 29, 2025. (Copies have been distributed pursuant to the NEF - MH) (Entered: 07/16/2026)
