Stearns: ELECTRONIC ORDER entered re 7 Response to Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus - 2241 filed by Markwayne Mullin, Timothy Baptiste, Patricia Hyde, Todd Lyons, Antone Moniz, Michael Krol.Petitioner Olvin Leonel Sorto Pineda, is a native and citizen of the Honduras who is currently detained in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the Plymouth County Correctional Facility in Massachusetts. He entered the United States in August of 2021, and presented himself to immigration authorities at the southern border. He has no criminal record. ICE took Sorto Pineda into custody as he returned home from work on June 4, 2026. The court agrees with petitioner that he is entitled to a bond hearing. The government must arrange a bond hearing for Olvin Leonel Sorto Pineda before an Immigration Judge (consistent with the standards outlined in Hernandez-Lara v. Lyons, 10 F.4th 19 (1st Cir. 2021)), as soon as practicable, but in no case later than Monday, June 22, 2026. (MZ) (Entered: 06/17/2026)
