Petitioner Miguel Canales Reyes, a putative citizen of El Salvador, has continuously resided in the United States for more than twenty years. He is forty-one years old and married to a United States citizen who is currently pregnant; they reside in Connecticut. He has no criminal record, no prior arrests, and no record of immigration violations. He has never previously been encountered by, arrested by, or placed in removal proceedings before his detention by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on June 4, 2026, at the Plymouth County Correctional Facility.The court agrees with petitioner Miguel Canales Reyes that he is entitled to a bond hearing. The government must arrange a bond hearing for Miguel Canales Reyes before an Immigration Judge (consistent with the standards outlined in Hernandez-Lara v. Lyons, 10 F.4th 19 (1st Cir. 2021)), as soon as practicable, but in no case later than Tuesday, June 23, 2026. (MZ) (Entered: 06/18/2026)
