MINUTE ORDER issued by Magistrate Judge Chi Soo Kim on 7/21/2026. The record before the Court does not contain sufficient information to decide the issues presented. In their Opposition, Respondents argue that Petitioner is detained pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1231(a)(6) after a final order of removal and submitted certain records. (See ECF No. 8 .) It is unclear, however, from the record (i) the date the removal order became administratively final; (ii) the date Petitioner was released from local detention or confinement from his 2003 criminal conviction that Respondents argue serve as the basis for Petitioner's removal order; (iii) whether Petitioner was previously detained and/or released by immigration officials after his removal order became administratively final, and if so, the dates of his detention and release; or (iv) whether Petitioner was previously released on an Order of Supervision after the expiration of the removal period, and if so, information regarding the Order of Supervision, including any revocation of the Order of Supervision. See 8 U.S.C. § 1231(a)(1)(B). By 5:00 pm on July 23, 2026, Respondents are therefore ordered to file a Supplemental Brief addressing issues (i)-(iv) identified above.
