ORDER re: 1 Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus (Served electronically on USAO per MOU.). In light of Sosnava Rodriguez, the Court hereby sua sponte STAYS this habeas proceeding. See Lighthouse Consulting Grp. v. Ally Fin., No. W-19-CV-00592-ADA, 2020 WL 6365538, at *1 (W.D. Tex. Mar. 25, 2020) (A federal court has inherent power to stay, sua sponte, an action before it.); see also Landis v. N. Am. Co., 299 U.S. 248, 254 (1936) ([T]he power to stay proceedings is incidental to the power inherent in every court to control the disposition of the causes on its docket with economy of time and effort for itself, for counsel, and for litigants.). The Court FINDS a stay preserves its resources and the parties interests moving forward. See Lighthouse Consulting, 2020 WL 6365538, at *1 (courts weigh competing interests in deciding whether to enter a stay).1The parties are ORDERED to file a joint advisory within three (3) days of the Fifth Circuits decision in Sosnava Rodriguez.
