MINUTE ORDER (Text Only Entry) This case, 1:26-cv-04260-DAD-AC, filed June 3, 2026, was initiated by the same Petitioner who brought a prior action,1:26-cv-02138-JLT-SKO, which reached judgment on April 6, 2026, and in which the Court ordered Respondents to provide Petitioner with a bond hearing. In the present case, Petitioner argues that the resulting bond hearing did not comport with this Court's order or agency precedent. (Doc. 1 at 2.)Pursuant to Local Rule 123, the Court finds that this action (1:26-cv-04260-DAD-AC) is related to Case No. 1:26-cv-02138-JLT-SKO because both cases involve overlapping parties, properties, claims, events and/or questions of fact or law. Accordingly, assignment of the actions to the same district judge and magistrate judge will promote convenience, efficiency, and economy for the Court and parties. Thus, the Court ORDERS that Case No. 1:26-cv-04260-DAD-AC be reassigned to U.S District Judge Jennifer L. Thurston and randomly assigned to one of the magistrate judges who has inherited the caseload previously handled by U.S. Magistrate Judge Sheila K. Oberto. All future filings shall reflect the new judge assignments in the case number signed by District Judge Jennifer L. Thurston on June 5, 2026. (Deputy Clerk IM) (Entered: 06/05/2026)
