MINUTE ORDER by District Judge Benjamin J. Cheeks. On May 28, 2026, Petitioner Antonio Hugo Bernabe-Texcahua, a citizen of Mexico, filed a Petition for a Writ of Habeas Corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241. ECF No. 1. Respondents do not oppose an order from this Court directing a bond hearing be held pursuant to 8 U.S.C. §1226(a). ECF No. 6 at 2. Accordingly, the Court GRANTS in part the petition for a writ of habeas corpus. The government shall hold a bond hearing within fourteen days of this order, unless the noncitizen requests a continuance. Petitioners request for attorneys fees and costs is DENIED without prejudice to Petitioner filing an appropriate application for fees. Petitioners motion to expedite is DENIED as moot.
