ORDER SETTING BRIEFING SCHEDULE FOR RESPONSE TO PETITIONER DANIEL BETANCOURT MARTINEZ'S MOTION FOR TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER 2 by Judge Fernando L. Aenlle-Rocha: On May 4, 2026, pro se Petitioner Daniel Betancourt Martinez filed a document entitled "Memorandum of Law in Support of a TemporaryRestraining Order," (Dkt. 2, the "Motion"). The court sets the following briefing schedule on the Motion. Respondents' response to the Motion shall be filed on or before May 27, 2026. Petitioner's deadline to file a reply in support of the Motion shall be June 10, 2026. The Motion shall be taken under submission as of June 10, 2026, and the court will set the Motion for hearing if the court deems one necessary or appropriate. Respondents are ORDERED to provide Petitioner with a physical copy of this Order and any response to the Motion, within one (1) business day of their filing dates. To preserve the court's jurisdiction pending a ruling in this matter, it is ORDERED that Petitioner shall not be removed from the United States unless and until this court orders otherwise. Further, given Petitioner's interest in participating in further proceedings before this court and maintaining adequate access to legal counsel throughout the duration of these proceedings, it is ORDERED that Petitioner shall not be transferred outside this District absent further order from this court.
