ORDER TO SUPPLEMENT by District Judge Margaret I. Strickland. THIS MATTER is before the Court on Petitioner Oner Gomez's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus, ECF No. 1, filed May 14, 2026. On May 15, 2026, the Court issued an Order to Show Cause and Order Enjoining Transfer, ECF No. 4, ordering Respondents to Show Cause why the Petition should not be granted and enjoining Respondents from "transferring or removing Petitioner from the District of New Mexico while this case is pending, absent a final order of removal." However, on May 21, 2026, and May 22, 2026, mail sent to Petitioner was returned to the Court as undeliverable with a note stating, "Detainee Departed." ECF No. 6 and ECF No. 7. Respondents shall supplement the record with updated information on Petitioner's whereabouts/removal status by May 28, 2026. It is further ORDERED that in responding to this Order, Respondents shall explain how/why detainee has reportedly departed despite the issuance of the Court's Order Enjoining Transfer on May 15.
