Blanche, Todd Lyons, Antone Moniz. Petitioner Willian Junior Amaral is a native and citizen of Brazil who entered the United States without inspection on June 15, 2019. He was taken into custody on April 29, 2026, after being stopped by local law enforcement for a traffic violation in New Hampshire and subsequently transferred to ICE custody. On April 30, 2026, the Department of Homeland Security issued and filed a Notice to Appear initiating removal proceedings against Amaral. Those proceedings are now pending before the Immigration Court. Amaral is held at Plymouth County Correctional Facility and seeks release.The court orders that ICE facilitate a bond hearing for him before an Immigration Judge (consistent with the standards outlined in Hernandez-Lara v. Lyons, 10 F.4th 19 (1st Cir. 2021)), as soon as practicable, but in no case more than five days from the date of this Order (by 5/13/26). (MZ) (Entered: 05/08/2026)
