ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE. IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:1.The court exercises its discretion under Rule 1(b) of the Rules Governing Section 2254 Cases in the United States District Courts, 28 U.S.C. foll. § 2254, to apply those rules to this § 2241 petition.2.The clerk is directed to serve a copy of the petition (Doc. 1) and this order on the proper respondent, Angela Hoover, Warden of Clinton County Correctional Facility, and on the United States Attorney, and to note the address of the United States Attorney on the front of the docket sheet of this case. All documents filed by the parties and by the court shall be served upon the United States Attorney. See Rule 4, 28 U.S.C. foll. § 2254.3.Within fourteen (14) days of the date of this order, the respondent shall file an answer, motion, or other response to the allegations of the petition. See Rule 4, 28 U.S.C. foll. § 2254; Rule 5, 28 U.S.C. foll. § 2254.4.The petitioner shall, if he so desires, file a reply to the respondents answer or other pleading within fourteen (14) days after its service. See Rule 5(e), 28 U.S.C. foll. § 2254.5.A determination as to whether the petitioner shall be produced for a hearing will be held in abeyance pending the filing of the respondents answer or other pleading.6.The clerk is directed to update the petitioners current mailing address to reflect his current place of detentionWending Mai, Facility I.D. No. 1005092, Clinton County Correctional Facility, 58 Pine Mountain Road, P.O. Box 419, McElhattan, PA 17748. The clerk is further directed to serve a copy of the petition and this order on the petitioner at the foregoing address, with the envelope marked LEGAL MAIL as well.7.The clerk is further directed to note the address of the petitioners next friend and wife on the docket sheet of this caseHuan Wang, 720 Tanager Drive, State College, PA 16803. Unless and until counsel enters an appearance on behalf of the petitioner, all documents filed by the parties and by the court, including this order, shall be served upon Wang as well as the petitioner himself.8.The clerk shall furnish the incarcerated petitioner, Mai, with copies of all forms necessary for our consideration of a motion for leave to proceed in forma pauperis in this case, and the clerk shall mail a copy of these same forms to the petitioners next friend and wife, Wang, as well.
