STANDING ORDER: Pursuant to the Court's General Order 2026-11 the Clerk of Court shall file this Standing Order in CM/ECF in every habeas corpus case brought pursuant 28 U.S.C. 2241 by a person in ICE detention. The Court has provisionally appointed the Federal Public Defender for the Middle District of Louisiana to assist pro se filers detained in immigration custody in this District of habeas corpus petitions filed under 28 U.S.C. 2241. See General Order 2026-11. The scheduling order contained herein shall apply except when a case-specific scheduling order is or has already been entered. The Government and all respondents be and are hereby prohibited from transferring the petitioner from the detention facility in which the petitioner is held at the time of filing and prohibited from removing the petitioner from the Middle District of Louisiana, during the response and briefing delays set forth in the Scheduling Order herein. ORDER: ICE shall not re-detain Omar pending the Court''s resolution of Petitioner''s 48 Emergency Motion to Enforce and Petitioner's 63 Motion for Order to Show Cause Why Respondent Should Not Be Held in Contempt and Sanctioned for Violating This Court''s Habeas Order. If Omar chooses to submit a Form 1-246 to ICE, he must do so within 21 days of the issuance of this Order. Omar shall file a Notice informing the Court whether a Form 1-246 was submitted to ICE within 28 days of the issuance of this Order. Should Omar submit a Form 1-246 to ICE, Omar must also provide a copy to the Government''s Counsel of Record upon filing. Should Omar seek any other form of administrative relief, he shall file a Notice to the Court and provide a copy of any application for relief to the Government''s Counsel of Record. The Court will defer ruling on Petitioner''s 48 Emergency Motion to Enforce, 57 Petitioner's Motion to Compel, and Petitioner's 63 Contempt Motion at this time.
