After reviewing the filings in each case, the Court finds that this case (1:26-cv-02993-KES-SAB) is related to Yokubov v. Warden, et al., case no. 1:25-cv-01068-EPG, within the meaning of Local Rule 123(a). The actions involve common parties and are based on the same or a similar claim. Accordingly, the assignment of these matters to the same magistrate judge is likely to effect a substantial savings of judicial effort and is likely to be convenient for the parties. As a result, it is hereby ORDERED that 1:26-cv-02993-KES-SAB is reassigned from the undersigned and Magistrate Judge Stanely A. Boone to the undersigned and Magistrate Judge Erica P. Grosjean. Henceforth, the caption on documents filed in the reassigned case shall be shown as 1:26-cv-02993-KES-EPG. It is further ORDERED that the Clerk of the Court make appropriate adjustment in the assignment of civil cases to compensate for this reassignment. It is further ordered that this matter is referred to Magistrate Judge Erica P. Grosjean for further proceedings, including the preparation of findings and recommendations on the 1 petition for writ of habeas corpus and 3 motion for temporary restraining order.
