Text Only Entry by U.S. Magistrate Judge A. Joel Richlin: The Court has reviewed the Ex Parte Application for Temporary Restraining Order and Application for Order to Show Cause Re: Preliminary Injunction, both of which seek the same relief as the Petition, as well as an order barring Respondents from transferring Petitioner outside of this district during the pendency of this action. (Dkts. 3-4.) The Court notes that this case is subject to General Order 26-05, which sets an expedited briefing schedule of 7 days for Respondents to file an Answer and then 3 days for Petitioner to file a Reply. The Court intends to rule promptly on the Petition, as well as the Ex Parte Application for Temporary Restraining Order and Application for Order to Show Cause Re: Preliminary Injunction, at the conclusion of briefing. If Petitioner believes there are facts justifying emergency relief on an even shorter briefing schedule, Petitioner may file a request that must be supported by good cause to shorten the briefing schedule. The Court notes that under General Order 26-05, Respondents must provide at least two court days notice to the Petitioner, Petitioners counsel, and the Court of their intent to remove Petitioner from this district. (Dkt. 7.) The Court has not received notice of any intent by Respondents to remove Petitioner from this district. Should Respondents decide to remove Petitioner from this district, the Court directs Respondents to provide their response to the Ex Parte Application for Temporary Restraining Order and Application for Order to Show Cause Re: Preliminary Injunction when they provide notice to Petitioner, Petitioners counsel, and the Court. This will allow the Court to rule on the Ex Parte Application for Temporary Restraining Order and Application for Order to Show Cause Re: Preliminary Injunction prior to the noticed removal of Petitioner from this district. IT IS SO ORDERED. THERE IS NO PDF DOCUMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS ENTRY. (AJR) TEXT ONLY ENTRY (Entered: 04/21/2026)
