MINUTE ORDER signed by District Judge Kirk E. Sherriff on 11/12/2025: (Text Only Entry). Upon review of the 1 petition for writ of habeas corpus, the Court became aware that petitioner attached a motion for temporary restraining order to that filing. See Doc. 1-2. Petitioner labelled the motion for temporary restraining order as "Points and Authorities" on the docket, so court staff was not alerted to the fact that a motion for temporary restraining order had been filed. Counsel is advised that motions for temporary restraining order should be separately filed and clearly labelled as such on the docket. Counsel shall accordingly re-file the motion for temporary restraining order on the docket. Respondents shall file an opposition to the motion for temporary restraining order within seven (7) days of its re-filing on the docket. Petitioner may file a reply within three days of respondents' filing of the opposition. The parties shall indicate in their briefing their position as to whether the motion for temporary restraining order should be converted into a motion for preliminary injunction.
