ORDER (AGS): Twice before, this Court admonished petitioner's counsel to "make any remote-appearance requests at least two court days before the hearing." See Nikogosyan v. Noem, 25-cv-3716-AGS-BLM, ECF 14 (S.D. Cal. Mar. 5, 2026); Rumiantseva v. Warden, 25-cv-3844-AGS-DEB, ECF 17 (S.D. Cal. Feb. 20, 2026). Once again, she has failed to heed this instruction, filing the current motion to appear remotely Friday afternoon before a Monday morning hearing. At this late hour, if the Court were to deny that motion, counsel would likely be unable to make it to court on time in person, forcing a delay of the proceedings. Such eleventh-hour motions place the Court in an untenable position, and they are an inconvenience to the Court, staff, and the other parties. Nikogosyan, 25-cv-3716-AGS-BLM, ECF 14. The Court grants the motion (ECF 22 ) and will email counsel a link to facilitate her remote appearance. At the hearing, however, petitioners counsel must SHOW CAUSE why she should not be sanctioned for repeatedly refusing to heed the Court's orders. Signed by District Judge Andrew G. Schopler on 08/10/2026. (no document attached) (mxa) (Entered: 08/10/2026)
