Minute Order by Judge Jinsook Ohta: On April 8, 2026, Luis Guillermo Cative Rojas filed a petition for writ of habeas corpus challenging the legality of his immigration detention. Previously, on March 20, 2026, Petitioner filed an amended petition for writ of habeas corpus in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. See Isaza v. U.S. Immigration and Customs and Enforcement, No. 2:26-cv-01606-EP (D.N.J.), Dkt. 6. On April 9, 2026, Judge Evelyn Padin granted Petitioner's amended petition and ordered Petitioner's release. Id., Dkt. 10. Respondents filed a notice of release confirming that Petitioner was released from custody on April 9, 2026. Because Petitioner is no longer detained, the Court DISMISSES the petition as moot and VACATES the April 30, 2026 hearing. [Dkt. 1] The Clerk of the Court is directed to close the case.
