TEXT ORDER. Pro se Petitioner signed the instant petition seeking relief under 28 U.S.C. § 2241 on March 31, 2026. ECF No. 1 at 6. The Court received the petition for filing on April 9, 2026. ECF No. 1. The Court issued an Order to Show Cause on April 14, and mailed the same to Petitioner at the address he provided--the Buffalo Federal Detention Facility. ECF No. 2. That mailing was returned undeliverable. ECF No. 3. Also returned undeliverable was the Court's mailing of a pro se packet and filing fee receipt to Petitioner. ECF No. 4. On April 28, 2026, Respondents filed a motion to dismiss, arguing that the petition is moot and the Court lacks subject matter jurisdiction over the petition because Petitioner was removed from the United States on April 8, 2026, while his petition was in transit to the Court. ECF No. 5. Respondents included with their motion a declaration affirming Petitioner's removal and the executed Warrant of Removal/Deportation for Petitioner and Warning to Alien Ordered Removed or Deported. The petition itself acknowledges that "[r]emoval proceedings resulted in a final order of removal dated February 11, 2026." ECF No. 1 at 3.Given this evidence, the multiple mailings to Petitioner already returned undeliverable, and the lack of any response by Petitioner to Respondents' motion to dismiss, Respondents' motion to dismiss, ECF No. 5, is GRANTED. Accordingly, the petition [ECF No. 1] is DISMISSED, and the Clerk of Court is directed to close this case and mail a copy of this text order to Petitioner at his last known address. SO ORDERED.
