EO: On April 9, 2026, the Court received a Petition for a Writ of Habeas Corpus ("Petition") filed under 28 U.S.C. § 2241, seeking inter alia that the Court (1) "[i]ssue a writ of habeas corpus directing Respondents to produce Petitioner before the Court at a date and time"; (2) "[d]eclare Petitioner's continued detention without a bond hearing, exceeding 6 months pending BIA appeal, unlawful"; and (3) "[o]rder Respondents to provide Petitioner with an individualized bond hearing before an immigration judge within 7 days of the Court's Order, or be released." ECF No. 1 at PageID.9. Petitioner's counsel shall be responsible for (1) promptly effecting service of the Petition, any accompanying papers, and this Entering Order on Respondents and appropriate government counsel and (2) promptly filing proof(s) of service with the Court. Specifically, the Court DIRECTS Petitioner's counsel to: (1) serve Respondents, no later than April 10, 2026, with a copy of the Petition and all accompanying papers, along with a copy of this Entering Order, by overnight mail and by e-mail to all appropriate recipients; and (2) immediately file proof(s) of such service. Counsel for Respondents shall promptly enter notices of appearance in this case.
