MINUTE ORDER: Petitioner's emergency motion for preliminary injunction Dkt. 5 is DENIED. The motion does not identify imminent, irreparable harm such as transfer or removal that must be addressed on an emergency basis. Rather, the motion seeks immediate relief from custody based on the allegations in the underlying habeas petition (Dkt. 1) and essentially asks the Court to expedite habeas relief. But the Courts scheduling order has already provided a mechanism for expedited consideration of the habeas petition. See Dkt. 2 . If Petitioner seeks an expedited briefing schedule, Petitioner's counsel must contact the United States Attorney's Office to meet and confer and then file a joint expedited motion, noted for the same day it is filed, that contains either an agreed briefing schedule or the parties' competing proposals for a briefing schedule.Authorized by District Judge Tiffany M. Cartwright. (ZMG) (Entered: 04/10/2026)
