Respondents shall respond to the Motion for Temporary Restraining Order by April 7, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. In the meantime, unless and until the Court orders otherwise, the Court ORDERS that Respondents shall not transfer Petitioner out of this District pending a ruling on the Petition. MINUTE ORDER issued by Courtroom Deputy for Chief District Judge Troy L. Nunley on April 16, 2026: Before the Court is Petitioner's Motion for Temporary Restraining Order ("TRO") (ECF No. 2 ) and Status Update (ECF No. 10 ). In Petitioner's motion for TRO, counsel averred he was denied access to his client on Sunday, April 5, 2026 and he sought court intervention to mandate a legal visit. (ECF No. 2 .) Petitioner's counsel has since informed the Court that he was able to arrange a legal visit with his client. (ECF No. 10 .) Therefore, the Court denies Petitioner's Motion for Temporary Restraining Order (ECF No. 2 ) as moot. The Court's Order not to transfer Petitioner outside of this district pending a ruling on the habeas petition remains intact. (ECF No. 5 .) Petitioner may file an amended or supplemental Petition by April 24, 2026. This matter is REFERRED to the assigned U.S. Magistrate Judge for all further proceedings.
