MINUTE ORDER (Text Entry Only) The Court has reviewed the Petition filed under 28 U.S.C. § 2241 (Doc. 1) and the related request for emergency injunctive relief (Doc. 14). Petitioner asserts he is being subjected to unlawful detention. The facts presented indicate he was detained on April 22, 2025, more than 8 months ago. Thus, the Court finds the TRO request is untimely, and it is DENIED. The government has opposed the underlying petition and filed a proof of service indicating that a copy was served on the petition. (Doc. 13) Though petitioner indicates that he knows the government filed its opposition on 12/29/25, he indicates that he has not received a copy of it. Thus, no later than January 8, 2026, respondents SHALL re-serve a copy of its opposition to the petitioner and file proof of service.
