ELECTRONIC ORDER: Petitioner filed a habeas petition challenging his immigration detention. ECF No. 9. Respondent filed a response, indicating that steps had been taken towards Petitioner's removal, including obtaining official permissions and travel documents and making flight plans. ECF No. 16 at 2. Since then, mail sent to Petitioner has been returned as undeliverable, and he is no longer viewable in ICE's Online Detainee Locator, so it appears that Petitioner may have already been removed. Thus, to ensure that this matter continues to present a justiciable controversy, Respondent is ORDERED to file a status report by July 2, 2026 advising the Court whether Petitioner has been removed.
