MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Judge Richard F. Boulware, II on 3/25/2026.Before the Court is Mr. Raul Pala-Visoso's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus, which was prepared with the assistance of counsel (ECF No. 1 ). The Court has preliminary reviewed the Petition and finds that it is littered with contradictory representations. Compare, e.g., id. at 4 ("Petitioner... is a native and citizen of Venezuela...."), with id. at 6 ("Petitioner is a native and citizen of Mexico."). As such, the Court cannot presently determine whether Petitioner may be entitled to a writ of habeas corpus. Cf. 28 U.S.C. § 2243.Therefore, the Court DEFEERS screening the Petition (ECF No. 1 ) until Petitioner's Counsel submits a revised version Mr. Pala-Visoso's application for a writ of habeas corpus. Cf. Cahill v. Insider Inc., 131 F.4th 933, 938 (9th Cir. 2025) (citations omitted) (reaffirming this Court's inherent authority to manage its own docket). In doing so, Petitioner's Counsel should take care to provide accurate factual representations, as Counsel is submitting a verified filing under federal law. See ECF No. 1 at 11.To that end, IT IS FURTHER ORDERED Petitioner has up to, and including, March 27, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. to submit a revised version of his application for a writ of habeas corpus. Petitioner may file a corrected version of the Petition using the "Notice of Corrected Image/Document" event on CMF/ECF.(Copies have been distributed pursuant to the NEF - DLQ) (Entered: 03/25/2026)
