ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE by District Judge Margaret I. Strickland.April 8, 2026, the Court issued an 7 Order Granting in Part and Denying Part Petitioner Alexandru Ciumac's 1 Verified Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. sec. 2241, and ordered his immediate release from custody/detention. On or about April 13, 2026, the Court received a 9 Letter from Petitioner stating that Respondents released Petitioner from custody/detention as ordered, but failed to return his Work Authorization Card and drivers license. It is HEREBY ORDERED that Respondents shall have until and including April 22, 2026 to return to Petitioner all of his personal belongings, including his Work Authorization Card and drivers license. Respondents shall mail Petitioner's personal belongings to the return address on the envelope containing the Letter:Alexandru CiumacApt. 2064350 Trenton Ln NMinneapolis, MN 55442-2824Respondents shall ensure that Petitioner receives his personal belongings by April 22, 2026 or SHOW CAUSE why that is not possible. Failure to return Petitioner's personal belongings to Petitioner by April 22, 2026 may result in sanctions.
