SCHEDULING TEXT ONLY ENTRY (In Chambers) by Magistrate Judge Angela C. C. Viramontes. On March 25, 2026, the District Judge granted Petitioners Application for a Temporary Restraining Order. (ECF No. 10.) The District Judge ordered forthwith release and enjoined Respondent from re-detaining Petitioner without a pre-deprivation hearing, unless special circumstances exist that justify immediate re-detention and a post-deprivation hearing. (Id.) On March 31, 2026, the District Judge issued a preliminary injunction. (ECF No. 13.) The District Judge directed the parties to follow the orders of the Magistrate Judge with respect to further proceedings. (Id.) In light of the most recent development, it is not clear whether further relief is available, and if so, what that relief would be. The parties are ORDERED to meet and confer NO LATER THAN APRIL 17, 2026, to discuss what, if anything, remains to be done with respect to the Petition. Should the parties agree there is nothing further for the Court to decide, they should file a stipulated dismissal. Otherwise, the parties are ordered to file a joint status report outlining what issue(s) remain and proposing a briefing schedule and format to address those questions.
