ORDER DISMISSING CASE by District Judge Margaret I. Strickland. THIS MATTER is before the Court on a sua sponte review of the record. On March 16, 2026, Petitioner Pedro De Jesus Juarez Murillo filed a Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. sec. 2241 asserting that he was being unlawfully detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement ("ICE") at the Otero County Processing Center, and asking this Court to order his immediate release. ECF No. 4 at 1, 7. On March 31, 2026, the federal Respondents filed a Response to the Petition indicating that ICE released Petitioner from custody on his own recognizance on March 18, 2026, and arguing that the Petition is now moot. ECF No. 14 at 2. Respondents also filed a Form I-830E reflecting that Petitioner was released from detention on his own recognizance on March 18, 2026. ECF No. 14-1. Finally, the docket reflects that all correspondence mailed to Petitioner at the Otero County Processing Center since March 18, 2026 has been returned as undeliverable, ECF Nos. 10, 11, 12, 13, and Petitioner has not updated his address with the Court.Accordingly, it is HEREBY ORDERED that Petitioner's 4 Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus is DISMISSED without prejudice as moot, all pending motions are DENIED AS MOOT, and this case is now CLOSED.[THIS IS A TEXT ONLY ENTRY.
