This matter is before the Court on petitioner Batrk Shehata's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241 and Motion for Preliminary Injunction. Docket Nos. 1, 2 . Petitioner shall, by overnight mail and email, serve respondents with a copy of the petition, the motion for a preliminary injunction, and this order on or before March 16, 2026. Petitioner shall file proof of service. Within seven days of service, respondents shall show cause why the petition for writ of habeas corpus should not be granted and respond to the motion for preliminary injunction. See 28 U.S.C. § 2243 ("The writ, or order to show cause shall be directed to the person having custody of the person detained. It shall be returned within three days unless for good cause additional time, not exceeding twenty days, is allowed.").
