ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE - This petition was filed on behalf of Juan Antonio Cuevas-Jacome by Krizelda M. Cuevas, who represents herself to be Mr. Cuevas-Jacome's next friend. The clerk is directed to serve copies of the petition (dkt. 1 ) and this order to Mr. Cuevas-Jacome at the Clay County Jail. The respondents are notified of the filing of the petition for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2241. This material has been scanned into the Court's electronic docket. A copy of this Order to Show Cause, the petition and this order shall be distributed electronically to the United States Attorney. Because the petition alleges that the petitioner is detained at the Clay County Jail at the direction of federal immigration authorities, the clerk is directed to add the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Attorney General as respondents. The clerk is directed to issue process by mail to the Clay County Respondent. Process will consist of the petition (dkt. 1 ) and this order.
