TEXT ORDER: This matter comes before the Court on Respondents' letter (Letter) requesting that the Court dismiss the petition (Petition) for a writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2241 as moot and close this case. (ECF No. 4 at 1.) In his pro se Petition, filed on March 12, 2026, Petitioner challenges his prolonged detention pursuant to a final order of removal. (ECF No. 1 at 6-9.) On March 2, 2026, Petitioner was removed from the United States and flown to Ecuador. (ECF No. 4 at 1.) Because Petitioner is no longer detained, the Petition is DISMISSED as moot. The Clerk of the Court shall CLOSE this matter and serve a copy of this Text Order and upon Petitioner at his address on record by regular U.S. mail.
