VIRTUAL ORDER: Denying 2 MOTION for Mehmet Y. Turkoglu to Appear Pro Hac Vice by Mucahit Demir ( Filing fee $125; receipt number AKYEDC-6322543). The motion to admit Mehmet Y. Turkoglu pro hac vice does not comply with the Local Rules. Local Rule 83.2(a)(3) states that a motion for admission pro hac vice must state that the attorney consents to be subject to the jurisdiction and rules of the Kentucky Supreme Court governing professional conduct. The motion at issue fails to do so. In addition, Local Rule 83.2(a)(4) states that a motion for admission pro hac vice must identify the method of training completed by the attorney before use of the Courts ECF system. The motion also fails to meet this requirement. Thus, the motion, [Dkt. 2], is DENIED WITHOUT PREJUDICE. ORDER: 1) The Clerk of the Court is directed to send a copy of the Petition [Dkt. 1] and this Order to Marc Fields, Jailer at the Kenton County Detention Center, and to the United States Attorneys Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky. 2) Within 14 days from the entry of this Order, the United States Attorneys Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky and Marc Fields are directed to file a response to the Petition. The United States Attorney's Office's response should be in the form of a memorandum addressing the factual allegations and legal claims contained in the pleading. Marc Fields may respond with a memorandum indicating whether he adopts the United States Attorney's Offices response in whole or in part, and he may raise additional arguments as he deems fit. Neither a formal motion to dismiss nor a motion for summary judgment is appropriate for these proceedings. The Respondents also should attach any relevant documentary evidence to their response briefs. 3) Once the Respondents file their response(s), the Petitioner may file a reply within 14 days.
