ORDER In light of Respondents' representation that CBP conducted an initial custody determination of Petitioner pursuant to § 1226(a) on February 25, 2026, but did not secure a warrant authorizing continued detention until March 18, 2026 (ECF No. 16), the Court amends its March 17, 2026 order (ECF No. 12) as follows. The Court ORDERS Respondents to release on personal recognizance, subject to conditions of release on recognizance, Jesus Eduardo Castillo Gonzalez. See Makuiza v. Wesling, No. 2:26-cv-00044-LEW, 2026 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 18216 (D. Me. Jan. 30, 2026) (granting release after the Government failed to conduct an initial custody determination and produce the authorizing warrant within 48 hours). The Court ORDERS Respondents to release Mr. Gonzalez by no later than 5:00 pm on March 19, 2026 and further ORDERS Respondents to return any of Mr. Gonzalez's personal property in their possession to him at the time of release.
