TEXT ORDER: The Court is in receipt of Respondents' February 25, 2026 Letter requesting a 20-hour extension--until 9:00 a.m. on February 26, 2026--to comply with the Court's February 24, 2026 Order, (ECF No. 10), and return Petitioner to the State of New Jersey and release her. (ECF No. 12). The request is DENIED. Respondents have represented that Petitioner is currently in flight and scheduled to arrive at LaGuardia Airport at approximately 3:00 p.m. today, February 25, 2026, but have provided no specific explanation as to why Petitioner cannot be transported to New Jersey and released promptly upon her arrival this afternoon, nor any factual detail demonstrating that compliance within the existing deadline is impracticable despite diligent efforts. Accordingly, because Respondents have not established good cause to modify the clear and unambiguous twenty-four-hour deadline previously imposed, it is ORDERED that Respondents shall comply fully with the Court's February 24, 2026 Order, (ECF No. 10), including returning Petitioner to the State of New Jersey and releasing her within the time frame previously set by the Court. So Ordered by Judge Christine P. O'Hearn on 2/25/2026. (hem, ) (Entered: 02/25/2026)
