ORDER DISMISSING 4 Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus as MOOT. On 2/24/2026, Petitioner filed a pro se Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus seeking his immediate release from custody or, alternatively, a bond hearing before an immigration judge pursuant to 8 U.S.C. Section 1226(a). See ECF No. 4 at 9. On 3/4/2026, Respondents filed a 11 suggestion of mootness advising the Court that Petitioner was released from ICE custody on or about 2/27/2026. Therefore, the 4 Petition is now moot. See DeFoy v. McCullough, 393 F.3d 439, 441 (3d Cir. 2005) ("Moreover, a petition for habeas corpus relief generally becomes moot when a prisoner is released from custody before the court has addressed the merits of the petition.").
