Nunley on 10/20/2026: Before the Court is Petitioner's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus (ECF No. 1 ) and Respondents' Notice of Related Cases (ECF No. 13 ). Examination of Case Nos. 2:26-cv-00714-TLN-DMC and 1:26-cv-01366-TLN-ICD reveals the actions are duplicative. Both actions involve the same Petitioner seeking the same relief through a habeas petition asserting similar claims. However, in Case No. 2:26-cv-00714-TLN-DMC, the Court granted the habeas petition and closed the case. The ICE detainee locator shows Petitioner is no longer in custody. Because the cases are duplicative and all requested relief was granted in 2:26-cv-00714-TLN-DMC, the Court hereby dismisses the instant Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus in this action and further denies Respondents' motion to dismiss (ECF No. 11 ) as moot.
